The busier I am, the more intentional I have to be with the secret place.
Last month’s to-do list was a long one. I had the opportunity of taking a community development and sustainability health course. I was equipped with many tools that can be really useful overseas.  I loved the concept of helping a community realize their practical needs,  while empowering them to become the solutions. A big take away for me was connecting practicals- such as creating running water systems to properly wash hands or treating dirty drinking water, to the gospel of Jesus in all its truth and power. The gospel at it’s core is not just a beautiful love story about creation, it is the power of God at work: bringing salvation to all who believe. It does little good to only provide practical tools for better living without sharing the love that leads me to them in the first place. The course was also a humbling reminder that we as missionaries do not have all the answers, but we do intimately know the one that does.
As always, my greatest need is prayer.  My team has returned from outreach, so I am entering a new transition as I get to know everyone and learn to run with each of them.  Last Sunday they celebrated me with a welcome dinner, I feel really grateful to be here.
Huge thank you to everyone for your prayers and finiancial support.  I couldn’t do what I do without your help.  Your support goes directly into funding my ability to do missions full time.  Will you playfully consider partnering with me in this journey?
